Crisis Response Clinician

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Work alongside first responders to provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services for adults and children experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Clinicians are expected to work on scene, conducted mental health assessments, engage in de-escalation, make appropriate referrals, and conduct follow up services as needed. Must be willing to work collaboratively with law enforcement, area hospitals and partnering agencies to coordinate services.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Respond in person with the assigned law enforcement officer/first responder to mental health calls requesting assistance with citizens in crisis who may have psychological and or associated mental health emergencies and chronic mental illness; prepare and maintain written reports that contain clinical material secure, confidential, and in compliance with state and federal privacy; and evaluate a wide range of crisis issues and supply appropriate information and referral services to resolve problems.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum Qualification: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field plus three (3) years of post graduate experience and working as a qualified mental health professional licensed for independent practice.
