COPE Cancer Program

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Assisting in logistical and administrative duties that pertain to the COPE Cancer Program that include, but are not limited to: planning, organizing and carrying out cancer program activities, collaborating with Cancer Program coordinator, manager, PI, community members, and other stakeholders to ensure that goals of project are met, and to gain knowledge and insight to community-based programming and non-profit administration.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Firm understanding of Navajo culture and beliefs, interest and commitment to American Indian/Alaska Native health, strong organizational and communication/interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect when working with a diverse population and stakeholders, interest in public health/global health, understanding of Navajo language (strong plus), experience in community health (strong plus), and reliable transportation.
