Main Areas of Responsibility:
Manage all financial aspects, including budget preparation and control, accounting and purchasing; ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations of appropriate state and federal agencies; maintain current knowledge of state policies and directives; coordinate financial aspects of contracts and subcontracts; manage payroll, including taxes and benefits; prepare financial statements, reports and activity audits; ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
• BA/BS in accounting, finance, business or a related field or discipline
• Microsoft Office Suite, Business Edition
• Experience using Sage 50 Accounting software
• Three to five years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities
• Certified Public Accountant desirable
• Experience working with and knowledge of state and federal financial regulation, including changes and/or developments in federal, state and local accounting law
