Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Controller is responsible for managing (in conjunction with the director of Finance and Administration) the Senior Accountant, Bookkeeper and Officer Manager(s), and supervising/overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting and finance areas.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Oversee accounting and finance activities, ensuring fiscal responsibility within departmental operations.
Create and provide accurate and timely monthly financial statements for various groups.
Interpret and present periodic financial information to management; create ad-hoc reports on an as-needed basis.
Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
Train and manage accounting support staff.
Interface with external audit firms, banks, insurance agents and credit card companies.
