Consultant for Strategic Planning Process

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Consultant, working with a Planning Team (PT), will facilitate and engage NMAEYC’s board and members in a Strategic Planning Process (SPP); Input will be gathered from NMAEYC members and EC stakeholders through surveys, facilitated meetings and retreats, Consultant will work with board and PT to identify and set goals and a time frame, and will develop an implementation plan for the goals.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The SPP will take place in five phases, and the Consultant will be instrumental in the activities of each phase. The Consultant will work with the NMAEYC Planning Team (PT) to develop a process for gathering information and setting goals. The Consultant will plan interactive and reflective opportunities for members to explore the current mission, vision, values, goals, objectives, and activities of the organization. Other Information/Requirements: 

Knowledge of early childhood best practices and NM networks of early childhood services is necessary, but formal education requirements are flexible. The most important qualification is experience in leading teams in creating and executing a transformational change plan by supporting participants in identifying their goals through consensus and reaching their goals through change management deliverables and work products.
