Community Programs Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Community Programs Manager is responsible for the overall management, operation, and reporting for RRFB’s community program activities. This position holds responsibility for partner monitoring and capacity building efforts to assist and strengthen organizations providing hunger relief services to individuals, households, and communities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Recruits & admits partners for food bank participation
• Performs customer service and problem solving involving RRFB partners
• Organizes orientation and training sessions for partners
• Works with agencies to develop creative uses for food bank products
• Collaborates with external public and private organizations to find ways to collectively
combat hunger
• Administers The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
• Prepares, maintains, and distributes reports as needed

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree plus 1 to 2 years’ experience in program management;or equivalent
combination
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information
• Ability to solve practical problems
• Excellent computer skills
• Extensive travel throughout the state – must have valid NM Driver’s license & insurance
