Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Community Program Specialist supports grassroots advocacy, coalition initiatives, and program development at PCA. They provide technical assistance, consultation, and grant input, engaging stakeholders statewide. Candidates need experience in policy advocacy, organizing, coalition-building, and program implementation, with commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, family engagement, and advancing child and family well-being in New Mexico.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The role involves planning and implementing initiatives aligned with PCA’s mission, coordinating daily operations, and supporting partners statewide. Responsibilities include data tracking, technical assistance, coalition-building, grant support, and advocacy engagement. Candidates must foster partnerships, lead community-driven strategies, and organize events to mobilize families, ensuring equity, collaboration, and effective program delivery across New Mexico.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum 4 years’ experience or Bachelor’s required. Preferred: bilingual English/Spanish, nonprofit/community work, family advocacy, workshop facilitation, and collaborative, culturally responsive practices. Skills include policy advocacy, grassroots organizing, coalition management, program leadership, communication, data analysis, fundraising, and partnership building. Proficiency with Zoom and Microsoft Office essential for effective statewide engagement and program delivery.
