Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Casa de Salud is currently seeking an experienced, bilingual (English/Spanish) full-time Community Organizer to work with an engaging team of clinicians, staff and community members to support our three organizing aims of 1) improving access to and reducing medical debt for Bernalillo County residents; 2) improving access to treatment for people dealing with addictions; 3) improving public safety in our county.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

We are a lead organization of the New Mexico Together for Healthcare Coalition. We organized over 60 healthcare workers during the 2021 NM Legislative Session and helped pass 3 transformative healthcare bills! We are also effective in local policy change that greatly impacts those most marginalized. We have over a decade experience with achieving effective and practical organizing successes for our community.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements: minimum 3 years experience in community organizing, and Spanish language fluency. Our work environment is exciting, and our direct care organizing model means the community organizer is able to work in a dynamic environment with a range of clinicians, health apprentices, staff all working towards the same goals, whether through direct care/service or organizing.
