Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Community Justice Worker will support NMLA’s community lawyering work through community outreach, community education, client screening and advocacy, and assistance connecting clients with non-legal resources. The position may sometimes include participation in community meetings and fairs that take place on evenings or weekends.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with the cultures and circumstances of McKinley and Cibola County residents who live on and off reservations, as well as a strong desire to empower people in these communities. Candidates also must possess written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the skills to build collaborative relationships within the staff and the community served by NMLA.
