Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Community Impact Program Officer (“CIPO”) is part of a highly collaborative Community Impact (“CI”) team that works closely with the Senior Community Impact Program Officer and the Vice President of Strategy & Equity to provide leadership and direction to the Foundation’s grantmaking, community programs, and special projects. The CIPO is also responsible for performing assessments of grant proposals, initiating funding efforts and maintaining community outreach.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

This position is responsible for management of the Foundation’s scholarship programs; collaborative management of the grantmaking and scholarship programs; maintaining Policies and Procedures for grantmaking in line with current IRS Rules and Regulations; working directly with donors on verification and processing of all grant recommendations; collaborating on the development and management of special programs; and developing and maintaining excellent relations with various grantmaking organizations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required; three or more years of experience in nonprofit or social profit sectors; must be available to attend Board of Trustee meetings; must be available to attend Foundation donor/prospective donor events; have proficiency in MS Office products; must develop knowledge and expertise in Community Suite software; and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
