Main Areas of Responsibility:
Casa de Salud is hiring a Community Health Worker (CHW) to join a team of 3 full time CHWs. Our CHWs creatively engage with community members through culturally humble approaches, and work among a larger team of CHWs across organizations. The primary focus of this work will be COVID-19 vaccination education and engagement, but CHWs work to support community members in other areas such as the ERAP rental assistance program, medical debt case management, and improving access to health/care.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
We are looking for a CHW with Spanish language proficiency or fluency, given a majority of our community members served by Casa de Salud speak Spanish. Having lived experience or work experience in working with people dealing with addictions is an option too, given another primary focus of our work and patient base are people who use drugs and people who are in recovery. Applicants with other expertise or skills regarding community health worker roles are also encouraged to apply.
