Community Engagement Specialist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT: Recruits, trains, places, and manages volunteers and all volunteer projects. Manages Volgistics database to track volunteers and their hours.
DONATION MANAGEMENT: Receives donations, provides donation receipts, organizes donations as they arrive, and creates and maintains a system to keep donations organized.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Represents Barrett at community events/speaking engagements, provides tours of shelter, etc.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides administrative support as needed, updates wish list, updates global calendar, events calendars, etc., Attends staff meetings and in house trainings as scheduled, Performs other duties as assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

REQUIREMENTS: Ability to relate to homeless women and children, Ability to engage volunteers and donors, Basic typing ability, Ability to multitask and manage different projects and priorities simultaneously, Exceptional organizational skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Computer skills and knowledge of relevant software. Flexibility in schedule is required.
Bachelor’s Degree and Three years of relevant experience OR a high school degree and 7 years of experience in related field.
