Main Areas of Responsibility:
MATCH New Mexico connects college-aged mentors to third-graders learning to read. The community-based coordinator (CBC) acts as the liaison between participating elementary schools, students and their families, and MATCH NM. The CBC works in tandem with the mentor coordinator to select and train mentors. The CBC maintains an on-going relationship with elementary schools, ensuring that the program needs are understood and accommodated appropriately.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The CBC implements evaluative measures, runs parent information meetings, and facilitates parent and program engagement with the community through outreach to other community-based organizations.
