Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Communications Manager reports to the Executive Director and will develop and implement a comprehensive branding and communications strategy for our website, social media, email, and postal newsletter, blog, traditional media, paid communications, and brochures, etc., ultimately resulting in coordinated content across all traditional, digital, and social media platforms that will mobilize supporters to take action. This is a new position with great potential.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

NM RCRC is the local faith connection to a national community of religious organizations and faithful individuals dedicated to elevating religious voices wherever faith, policy and our reproductive lives intersect. This work includes providing abortion funding through practical support, community advocacy to protect abortion access, and communications work within the scope of a reproductive health, rights, and justice framework. A commitment and understanding of intersectionality is imperative to this work.

Other Information/Requirements: 

This is a part-time position 20/hours per week paid hourly at $18 - 20/hour depending on experience, based in New Mexico, with a flexible work schedule including some remote work options. Some nontraditional work hours including weekends and evenings, especially when the NM Legislature is in session, will be required. We are recognized as a Gold-level employer by Family Friendly New Mexico and offer generous paid time off, 12 paid holidays/year, and are closed December 24 – January 1.
