Communications Coordinator

Job Description
Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

* Develop and distribute information to promote RTSC.
* Create and manage a comprehensive communications plan that would include postings about RTSC on an average of about 3x per week.
* Manage the organization’s social media communications.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

* Create and produce newsletters, project updates, safety messages, and fundraising solicitations for the organization.
* Write, edit and distribute various types of content, including a bi-monthly newsletter, materials for the website, press releases, videos, marketing material, fundraising emails and other types of content that take the message to the public.
* Develop and implement strategies to grow RTSC’s newsletter and supporter subscriber list.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Ability to develop a consistent message for all platforms
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and have acuity with detail.
Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Nextdoor, Linked, etc.
Familiarity with Contact Management Systems (CRMs) such as Salesforce, Little Green Light and email marketing systems such as Mailchimp and Wix website manager a plus.
