Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Collection Information Specialist is responsible for surveying, verifying, refining, normalizing and updating information in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s collection management system (CMS). This includes assisting a cross-departmental team with assessments of data standards and evaluation of procedures while developing and documenting best practices for working with data in the Museum’s collections database (Vernon CMS).

Other Information/Requirements: 

• BA/BS degree in library science, art history, museum studies or other relevant field required, MA preferred
• 3-5 years’ experience working with relational databases in a cultural context; familiarity with collection management and digital asset management systems
• Experience working with data sets and museum or library metadata standards
