Clinical Educator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The primary functions of the Clinical Educator are to provide EMR onboarding and ongoing training for all clinical staff including providers and advanced practitioners, and to oversee the development and implementation of programs of orientation, inservice and continuing education for clinical personnel to insure the demonstration of required clinical competencies. Makes recommendations to the SDCO/CMO/CHRO in developing curriculum to meet the learning needs of the organization.

Other Information/Requirements: 

In collaboration with other established orientation and training for EMR users to ensure proficiency in best practices and established SCC EMR utilization guidelines. Provides training to new hires to ensure proficient use of the EMR. Works collaboratively with Chief HR Officer and Clinical Leadership to identify the educational needs and requirements of the clinical staff.
