Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Accion is an award-winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Texas that increases access to business credit, makes loans, and provides training, which enable entrepreneurs to realize their dreams and be catalysts for positive economic and social change. Under supervision of the Market Manager, the CSI will work closely with the lending team in order to learn about and support the lending process.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Client Services Interns:
•Learn about microfinance from an innovative leader in the microfinance industry.
•Provide important loan assistance support to the lending staff and help to fulfill Accion’s mission.
•Develop personal professionalism by focusing on service, outstanding results, accountability and critical thinking.
•Learn about Accion’s values-based organizational culture and best practices for nonprofit management and mission impact.

Other Information/Requirements: 

•6 month commitment of 15-20 hours per week; mornings or afternoons.
•Commitment to Accion’s mission, delivering superior client-service and learning about microfinance.
•Personal integrity and responsibility; excellent judgment and accountability.
•Proactive and skilled at anticipating needs; strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•Outstanding team player; independent and relational, positive attitude.
