Main Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for providing legal representation (under supervision) to immigration clients. Prepares and/or learns to prepare applications and petitions before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for VAWA, U visa, battered spouse waivers and other domestic violence-related immigration processes. Informs clients as to requirements and assists clients in gathering appropriate documentation.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Qualifications: Minimum of Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish required. Knowledge of immigration issues, and 2-5 years experience working with low-income immigrants/refugees and or social work involving domestic violence situations is preferred. Basic computer competency in MS Office, Windows.
