Chinese Speaking Outreach & Education Specialist

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Specialist works within the community to identify needs and how to better serve the population by developing meaningful and engaging programming. More specifically, the Specialist will work to engage Chinese-speaking families to improve the overall well-being of Asian children and families through culturally tailored activities. This includes the provision of direct services through case management.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

-Design and implement outreach and engagement strategies and plans
-Interact with community members and organizations and coordinate and participate in meetings to identify and address community raised issues
-Aid and assist with community walk-in and call-in concerns
-Provide case management services to clients
-Perform accurate data entry of client information into reporting tools and data systems
-Performs related tasks as required or assigned by supervisor

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with two to five (2-5) years directly-related experience preferably working in a nonprofit capacity. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted, as long as it directly pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities.
