Children's Activities Coordinator

Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Coordinate a variety of activities for children and/or families at ECM, including after-school, summer, and during school breaks.
Plan and directly lead some activities, as well as coordinate and oversee volunteer-led activities.
Manage current activities and work to add new options for kids and/or families.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Recruit Participants
Manage Parent Communication and Involvement
Parents are invited and encouraged to participate as much as possible
Volunteer Management (including recruitment, training, retention, support, conflict resolution, appreciation)
Collaborate with other ECM staff, especially in youth department
Coordinate scheduling issues and use of facilities

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required:
Minimum Education: Associate's Degree in a field such as Education, Early Childhood Development, Family Studies, Social Work, or other relevant field, OR at least two years equivalent work experience
Pass criminal background check
Familiar with and/or agreeable to Christian Community Development philosophy
CPR certified, or willing to get certified upon being hired

Preferred:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Managerial experience
