Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministry will be an integral part of a team to redevelop and direct a vital family ministry at All Saints Lutheran, with the desire that individuals of all ages will come to know God’s grace, love and forgiveness. The Director will engage two areas of children and youth - preschool age through elementary school, and middle school through college, as well as family and cross-generational activities and interactions.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Must also work outside the walls of the church to establish a presence in the community, to advocate for children, youth and families and their needs, and to collaborate with other churches to provide opportunities for fellowship, service, worship and Bible study.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Undergraduate degree, preferably in Youth and Family Ministry, or Cert. in Youth and Family Min. Excellent communication skills, social media savvy. Organize retreats, mission trips, community service activities. Understanding of child development and family dynamics. Positive attitude, energetic, flexible, patient. Ecumenical tolerance and respect for differing cultures, lifestyles, and religions; valuing youth and others. Biblically literate; familiarity with Lutheran theology and ELCA resources.
