Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The United Way of Central New Mexico is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to inspire and lead high performing teams in support of a dynamic fundraising and community impact organization. The successful candidate is an experienced strategic leader with proven communication and management skills in complex environments. S/he will be able to demonstrate an understanding and a passion for the work of the United Way.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The CFO must have a strong understanding of financial information and standards applicable to the nonprofit environment, and be an effective manager of experienced staff members and key liaison support to volunteer decision-makers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and related functions for an organization of similar complexity.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements include: a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, five years’ experience in finance and managing staff, excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to meet deadlines and be flexible, and to work in a fast-paced environment with high level of organizational and interpersonal skills. CPA preferred.
