Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The UWCNM is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to inspire and lead transformative innovations that support a dynamic fundraising and community impact organization. The successful candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication and management skills in a complex environment and able to demonstrate a passion for the work of the United Way. The CFO must have a strong understanding of financial information and view challenges as opportunities and enjoy solving problems.

Professional who can: present information in transparent, straightforward & concise manner; make difficult concepts easy to understand; efficiently transact business, involving volunteer leadership in decision making; thrive in fast-paced, high energy environment; lead high performing team of tenured staff with diverse skill sets; empower staff but be willing to be hands-on; and have flexibility/openness to new ideas with willingness to consider requests and find ways to say yes to new ideas.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Candidate must have proven record of managing finances/functions for org of similar size and structure, be able to identify finance’s role in strategic decisions, and be detail-oriented yet able to see big picture. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5 years experience in finance/managing staff, excellent communication/presentation skills, ability to meet deadlines & be flexible, and work in fast-paced environment with high level of organizational and interpersonal skills required. CPA preferred.
