Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Chief Development Officer

This newly created position will be instrumental in leading the department and the organization to meet annual fundraising goals, while growing and diversifying the agency’s funding base. The CDO is responsible for growing the foundation portfolio, conducting development campaigns and expanding the major donor program.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

As a member of the senior leadership team, helps set the direction and ensures the financial health of the agency. The ideal candidate is expected to be a competent fundraiser and an excellent organizational development professional. All the while embracing the highest ethical standards in management, governance, fund development and non-profit leadership.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Curriculum Vitae/Resume should document a solid track record in creating, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive and sustainable fund development program.
The amount of knowledge required would typically be acquired in a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of seven (7) years fundraising experience in a professional position. Experience with major donor development is a must.
Membership in a professional fundraising association is expected of a professional.
