Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• With CEO designs, writes and implements the Annual Resource Development Plan to identify new sources of funding and to create opportunities for the Boys & Girls Clubs to develop a broader base of support.
• Leads the Development Department in identifying new prospects for making annual gifts, major gifts and planned gifts
• Responsible for identifying ways to increase funding from government, federal and state sources

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Develops in conjunction with the CEO and Development Committee that all special events are planned, on track, implemented, and goals achieved.
• Works with Development Committee to obtain sponsors for all special events.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• 5-7 plus years of resource and business development experience in areas of donor relations, major gift solicitations, grant writing, capital and • Major gift campaigns
• Public relations and marketing expertise preferred
• Proven ability to raise substantial sums of money and meeting agreed upon financial targets
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control fundraising expenses
• Excellent management and supervisory skills and the ability to create and be part of a team
