Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

In collaboration with the President/CEO and Board of Directors, the Chief Development Officer will design and implement a comprehensive development strategy to increase the financial resources available to support the mission of Roadrunner Food Bank.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for ensuring the effective management and growth of Roadrunner’s fundraising and donor relations efforts. Plans, directs, and coordinates ongoing fundraising programs; plans, coordinates and directs major, annual, planned, and special giving programs; supervises special events, marketing and communications, advocacy, volunteer engagement, meeting rooms, departmental systems, and strategic donor tracking functions. Other Information/Requirements: 

• Proven success using knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques and ethics, including an understanding of major gifts, annual giving, planned giving and capital campaign strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Computer literate.
• Must have outstanding communications skills including oral and written
