Case Manager/Community Navigator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides case management services and domestic violence education to victims of domestic violence. Provides community education and outreach on domestic violence issues. Maintains DVRC’s social media outlets. Provides information and support to clients regarding accessing community and agency resources required to achieve individualized goals. Coach clients in developing job skills, resumes, cover letters, interview skills, and provide clients with job search and labor market information.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

1. Provides community outreach, education and training on domestic violence to various groups and organizations. Occasionally travel to locations, including college campuses, housing programs, employer locations, and job and resource fairs
2. Facilitate community-based educational programs and in-service trainings while representing DVRC to the community.
3. Complete monthly and quarterly data and narrative reports on program performance and client demographic

Other Information/Requirements: 

Working knowledge of the criminal justice system, court proceedings, and the legal system. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Understanding of dynamics of domestic violence. Familiarity with community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals for direct services. Ability to work with individuals in agencies with a variety of backgrounds and purposes. Experience with various social media sites.
