Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide case management, support and coaching to parents in two-year transitional housing program. Engage in positive, encouraging relationships with families while assisting parents to develop a transition plan, including goals related to housing, education, financial stability, and life skills. Work collaboratively with clients, staff, volunteers, and outside agencies.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

1. Facilitate weekly group meeting where guest speakers educate parents about local resources.
2. Work collaboratively with co-workers implementing a two-generational approach, across such topics as building supportive relationships, and financial empowerment. Strong focus on education for adults and children.
3. Manage application process for admittance into Saranam program.

Other Information/Requirements: 

1. Implement a trauma-informed approach, focusing on strengths and assets.
2. Understand the impacts and effects that generational poverty, homelessness, abuse, and trauma have on an individual’s and family’s development, choices, constraints, and needs. Have knowledge and self-awareness regarding issues and biases of race, ethnicity, class, culture, and sexual preference.

How to Apply:
