On-Call Victim Advocate

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the supervision of the Program Director of Crisis Services, the Victim Advocate is responsible for providing crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. The Victim Advocate responds to calls on the hotline and provides advocacy for survivors who present at SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners Unit).

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Shifts: Sundays and Mondays from 12am-8am.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements:
• A minimum of one year direct service experience
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Bachelor preferred
• Must be willing to collaborate with other agencies and participate in outreach activities
• Ability to adhere to strict standards of confidentiality
• Must obtain Criminal Records Background clearance
• Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
