Box Office & PR Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

General Administrative
• Provides assistance at concerts and special events
• Assists the Executive Director, Business & Operations Manager, Creative Director and Development Officer
• General receptionist duties
Box Office
• Receives and processes all tickets orders, including subscriptions
• Produces ticket sales
• Administers the Will Call box office services at all concerts and events

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Public Relations
• Researches and gathers information about the Symphony's concerts, soloists, conductors, and programs in order to write press releases and electronic program notes for digital distribution
• Assists Creative Director in creating promotional materials, website copy, social meda and printed publications

Other Information/Requirements: 

Critical Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluency in PC and Microsoft Office skills
• Word: Draft business letters; mail merges
• Excel: Cell and formula creation and manipulation; basic math
• Courteous and helpful style on the telephone and with walk-in guests/customers
• Multitasking and teamwork
• Resourceful and creative problem-solving techniques
• College degree a plus
• Experience with CRM databases
