Main Areas of Responsibility:
Responsibilities include monthly reconciliations of receivables, payables, bank accounts and other income accounts. Will work with development and admin staff to track donations, grants and pledges. Responsible for asset management and depreciation. Will assist with developing/updating financial policies and procedures in alignment with generally accepted accounting principles and federal and state law.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
This position requires daily interaction with admin, program, and development staff, management, board members, vendors, donors, and others in order to meet the financial needs of the organization. As such, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complicated accounting principles to non- professionals, are a must.
