Bookkeeper

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Job Description: The Bookkeeper is a part-time professional position responsible for providing accurate and timely bookkeeping and financial reporting for EVFAC and its programs. The position reports directly to the General Manager, but works with Program Manager, program heads, staff and Board personnel.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Bi-weekly payroll
• Record and process accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts
• Post accounts to the General Ledger
• Perform bank reconciliations monthly
• Create weekly deposits
• Work with outside accountant and General Manager to prepare year end 990
• Timely preparation and filing of payroll taxes
• Year end W-2 and 1099 preparation
• Monthly 941-EFTPS and SIT -- TAP filing and payments
• Quarterly 941 reports, SUTA and Workers Comp filing
• 6 hours per week, in office

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications
• Experience using QuickBooks, including payroll, POS , build assembly feature, and knowledge of chart of accounts interaction within the program
• Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting principles
• Experience working in nonprofit organization and knowledge of nonprofit accounting and IRS requirements
• Experience with wholesale or manufacturing bookkeeping a plus.
