Main Areas of Responsibility:
The bookkeeper is responsible for the day-to-day accounting, such as entering journal entries in accordance with GAAP, processing invoices, billing insurance for lodging and account reconciliation. The bookkeeper assists the Finance Director with preparation of the yearly audit and 990.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
• Issues 1099 and 1096 forms to vendors and IRS
• Assists with grant funding sources tracking
• Managing daily cash receipts and bank deposits processing
• Taking minutes at the Finance and Investments meetings
• Communicating with customers to address any past-due invoices
• Ensure transaction records are properly maintained
