Bookkeeper

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

TREC, 501(c)(3) organization located in Santa Fe, NM, is looking for a bookkeeper to work 10 – 15 hours per week. At least five years non-profit bookkeeping experience is desired; responsibilities include: accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, benefits administration and production of financial statements. Applicants must have proven Quickbooks skills and experience.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

We are looking for a strong expert, but also someone who displays energy and professionalism and will contribute as a team member.
Will assist Associate Director with the annual audit, all licensing and insurance and reporting requirements.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to exercise sound judgment, and have displayed initiative and innovation on past jobs and/or contracts. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and assignments, and to meet deadlines; experience in contract management, including the proven ability to work closely with consultants and vendors. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with proven ability to convey information clearly. Passion about conservation issues is a plus.
