Job Description
Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

To make systemic change for the benefit of New Mexico’s animals by formulating company policies, providing leadership and governance, providing financial oversight and stability of the organization, performing community outreach and advocacy, and raising funds to support the organization’s programs, program services and activities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Serves a three (3) year term
• Attends four (4) regularly scheduled meetings of the Board of Directors (quarterly), including joint meetings between the APNM and Animal Protection Voters’ Boards of Directors; reviews and comments on, as appropriate, board meeting minutes;
• Participates actively in one or more committees of the board.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Fully understands and supports the mission;
• Abides by the By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation of APNM;
• Establishes organization policy;
• Protects confidentiality of APNM matters;
• Makes an annual personal [and/or professional] financial commitment, to the organization;
• Helps raise financial resources needed to fund APNM programs, program services, and business administration;
