Bilingual Victim Advocate

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the supervision of the Program Director of Crisis Services, the Bilingual Victim Advocate (BVA) is responsible for providing crisis intervention and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. The BVA provides social media outreach and community outreach to the Spanish speaking community.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Bachelor degree (Social Sciences or related field)
• A minimum of one year direct service experience
• Knowledge of local Spanish speaking communities
• Grant writing experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Networking skills and outreach experience
• Must obtain Criminal Records Background clearance
• Access to own vehicle and phone
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading and writing in Spanish and English

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Must be flexible with working hours outside of their regular shift
• Must be able to take initiative and work independently
• Candidate must complete the RCCCNM 40-hour Training.
