Main Areas of Responsibility:
-Assess clients for risk of lethality and develop safety plan accordingly.
-Perform crisis interventions with clients.
-Counsel clients and/or their children, individually or in group sessions, to assist in overcoming trauma, provide domestic violence education, adjusting to life, and/or making changes.
-Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.
- Prepare and maintain confidential treatment records and reports.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
-Encourage clients to express feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives, helping them to develop insight into themselves or their relationships.
-Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, or tests.
-Fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including mental health evaluations, client diagnostic records, and progress notes.
-Guide clients in the development of skills or strategies for dealing with their problems.
