Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Business Consultant provides high-quality, culturally competent consulting and training to entrepreneurs and small business owners in New Mexico. This position supports clients at all stages of business development—start-up, growth, and expansion—with an emphasis on financial literacy, market readiness, and access to capital.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Consultant ensures services are inclusive and accessible, strengthens relationships with community and economic development partners, and supports WESST’s mission of fostering entrepreneurship and economic empowerment across the state. Reports to the Las Cruces Program Director. This position is based in Las Cruces and can be hybrid.

Other Information/Requirements: 

- Is bilingual (English/Spanish) and able to deliver high-quality consulting and training in both languages.
- Has 3–5 years of experience providing small business consulting, financial coaching, or entrepreneurship training.

Salary Range: 
Full-time, exempt position offering a salary range of $60,000-$70,000.
