Main Areas of Responsibility:
• Assess and treat behavioral health needs in a primary care setting through brief conjoint sessions with medical provider during patient encounter and/or “curbside” consultative contacts outside of patient encounter.
• Provide assessment, consultation and brief intervention for psychological/psychiatric problems and/or disorders.
• Triage and appropriately refer patients where the need exceeds care that is appropriate to primary care setting.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
• Must be familiar with or have experience with providing the behavioral health interventions of screening, brief intervention, referral and brief treatment in a primary care setting (2 years minimum).
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, primary healthcare center.
• Must have extensive knowledge and background in both Mental Health and Substance-Abuse evidence-based protocols appropriate for treatment in primary care.
