Balance of State CoC Program Officer

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize Balance of State COC meetings, including agendas and minutes.
Oversee Housing Inventory Count and Point-in-Time Counts.
Create training for CoC providers.
Build partnerships to improve CoC services.
Assist with funding applications and rankings.
Submit the HUD Consolidated Application.
Update CoC standards and documents.
Lead community committees as needed.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Two years' experience with a nonprofit, community agency, or government; commitment to social justice and ending homelessness; attention to detail; preferred personal or community experience with homelessness; teamwork and networking skills; ability to work independently; strong organizational and computer skills, including Microsoft Office; proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness has adopted a four-day work week (Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm) to promote staff wellness. This approach empowers employees to focus on self-care, enhancing their ability to combat homelessness in New Mexico. The position is based in Santa Fe and requires travel.
