Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The New Mexico Immigrant Law Center is hiring an attorney Fellow for a 2-year position as part of the Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corps, a legal fellowship program designed to increase capacity and access to civil legal help for crime victims. This fellow will be responsible for providing free direct legal services to immigrant services of human trafficking in New Mexico.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Equal Justice Works Crime Victims Justice Corps Fellow will: provide culturally competent, trauma-informed, holistic legal services to immigrant survivors of human trafficking, including directly representing trafficking survivors who are eligible for immigration relief in immigration proceedings. They will also conduct outreach and training to service providers, community partners, and/or law enforcement to increase awareness of human trafficking in New Mexico.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Only bilingual applicants will be considered (Spanish and English fluency preferred; other bilingual fluency will be considered). Must be licensed to practice law and have a demonstrated commitment to immigrant rights, workers' rights, social justice issues, and public interest law.
