Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Are you looking for a professional opportunity to manage a unique museum? The ASRT Museum and Archives traces the progress of medical imaging and radiation therapy from the discovery of the x-ray to today, and we want you to put your degree and technical skills to work! The associate executive director will work collaboratively and in partnership with the deputy CEO to oversee the museum, to provide strategic direction and assist with its planning, promotion and operations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

We seek an experienced curator to play a key role in collections management to preserve the history of the organization and the profession.
• BA to MA degree specializing in radiologic technology, museum management, history, education or IT operations.
• 5 yrs. experience curating & storing museum collections.
• Exhibit development, design & operation.
• Planning & coordinating operations -facility maintenance, rental policies &educational outreach.

Other Information/Requirements: 

We also seek:
• Communication and PR knowledge; ability to promote the museum, act as its public face and build rapport and influence in the external environment.
• Exhibit maintenance, such as visual displays and digital/computer equipment.
• Knowledge of video production & editing.
• Visual communication methods; ability to think creatively and incorporate concepts into design/products.
• Knowledge of RT professional issues, demographics and trends.
