Associate Comptroller of Non-Profit Accounting

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

As a leader in the CNM Business Office, this position is responsible for the tasks and responsibilities required by the non-profit component units of CNM: CNM Foundation and CNM Ingenuity. This position reports organizationally to the CNM Comptroller. The position serves as the functional chief financial officer (CFO) and is responsible for all financial matters of the non-profit entities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Associate Comptroller of Non-Profit Accounting is responsible as a member of the non-profit entities in developing, maintaining, and ensuring procedures regarding the proper processing of financial documents and transactions, analyzing financial reports by cost center on a regular basis with non-profit leadership.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration or related field or Bachelor’s degree and CPA with ten (10) years of increasingly responsible experience in the accounting field and three (3) years’ experience supervising accounting personnel. Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
Public or Higher Education experience preferred.
