Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Build a coalition of partner organizations to support the New Mexico Early Childhood Strategic Plan. Assist Advocacy Coordinator by attending meetings, supporting parent advocates, monitoring legislation and developing advocacy strategies.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Develop briefing and training materials.
Support staff and Board of Directors in understanding policy issues.
Track, monitor and report on city, county and state legislation.

Other Information/Requirements: 

2 years of experience in advocacy or related activities.
Bachelor Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, communications or related field.
Experience with issues related to early childhood education and homelessness.
Knowledge of trauma informed practices.
Bilingual English/Spanish
