Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This position is responsible for assisting the Pre-K teacher in the Pre-K classroom and at the classroom level; and assist in creating and maintaining a safe environment where children can reach the next milestone in their development. With the support of their lead they will tend to the daily needs of children, plan lessons, record observation, and assessments, and ensure and monitor plan family involvement.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

You will Assist Center Director and Coordinator in planning and implementing activities designed to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of the children. This position requires an AA or be enrolled in an associate degree program in early childhood education within 6 months of hire and must complete 6 credits annually; CDA or CDC; bilingual in English/Spanish; two years’ experience in working with children in a day care setting; successfully complete Early Pre-K Database training.

Other Information/Requirements: 

You must have FOCUS trainings while holding position; have knowledge and experience on the normal range of development of children; and demonstrate excellent leadership and organizational skills and the ability to motivate people. A minimum two (2) years’ experience of supervision in an early childhood educational setting preferred. Compensation/Benefits: Pay range starts at $14.16/$29,452 annually, DOE. Provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and PTO benefits.
