Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Assistant Director leads daily operations of the Pre-Law Summer Institute, supervises staff and faculty, manages student support and program logistics, coordinates partnerships and outreach, oversees budgeting and reporting, and advances AILC’s mission to prepare Native students for law school success.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Additional responsibilities include building relationships with law schools, employers, advisors, and tribal colleges; coordinating bar prep, clerkship, and mentoring programs; assisting with budgeting and grants; planning events and trainings; promoting PLSI through outreach and social media; and processing student applications and reimbursements.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred); at least three years’ experience in management, education, or related programs; one year each in training/education, supervision, and event management; strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills; and demonstrated commitment to Native American students and communities.
