Arts and Justice Dance Education Faculty

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Keshet’s M3 Program (Movement + Mentorship = Metamorphosis) is expanding its Dance Education Faculty.
-Direct teaching inside New Mexico’s Juvenile Prison System, pre-adjudication detention centers, as well as teaching pre- and post- release students
• Working collaboratively with an artistic and programming team
• In-person classroom instruction (or virtual, as applicable).
• Class preparations, with an active understanding of Keshet Curriculum

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Experience as a dancer and dance educator in professional and community settings
• Experience and/or willingness to learn and grow with a variety of types of classroom settings including engaging with a range of ages, levels, backgrounds, physical / developmental abilities, multi-generational and multi-ability dancers.
• Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Other Information/Requirements: 

All Keshet Staff are required to have full and up-to-date Covid-19 vaccinations.
An extensive state background check conducted through the Children Youth and Families Department will be required prior to approval for entrance into the juvenile prison. Keshet will facilitate this background check.

Salary Range: 
$35,600- $40,000 p/year
