Job Description
Type of Job: 
Part-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage institutional and special archival collections including: accessioning, describing, preserving, creating finding tools for paper and digital materials. The Archivist will also assist on the revision of archives related workflows and documentation.

Manage and maintain the archives database (ArchivesSpace), archives storage systems and inventories, and security of archival materials.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Collaborate on the development and maintenance of the records management program, managing tasks associated with the life cycle of institutional records.

Assist with references and research assistance to both on-site and remote researchers, archives-related exhibition development, departmental outreach and promotional efforts, and special projects such as the oral history project.

Other Information/Requirements: 

ALA-accredited master’s degree in library, information, and/or archival science or an equivalent advanced degree

At least two years of professional experience in a library or archival setting
