Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Arc of New Mexico guardianship program is actively seeking to hire for a Guardianship Coordinator. The coordinator ensures that protected individuals guarantee the greatest degree of safety for any assets and services in their best interest. The Arc of New Mexico guardianship advocacy program determined by a court of law that they are unable to make “safe or reasonable decisions” concerning their own care.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Handle guardianship correspondence, seeking help from Director of Guardianship. Handle Medicare and prescription drug plan mail 3) Handle guardianship faxes and distribute to appropriate parties 4) Attend monthly client case review meetings. Ensures the timely submission of all required reports, including financial reports and accountings, to the appointing court and to persons served by the guardianship funder and program. Enter monthly billable time in identified tracking system.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Education and experience:
• Minimum associate’s degree required
• experience in guardianship
• Understanding of the New Mexico state’s social service system •
Interpersonal skills:
• Relates to people from all backgrounds
• relates to people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities
•Communicates very well in written and oral form
